Loki Got An Army, Avengers Got Hulk, DC Got “The Rock”

Dwayne Johnson in his latest Instagram post excited his fans with the news of him joining the DC cinematic universe and his forthcoming movie Black Adam.

American actor Dwayne Johnson announced the release date of his upcoming superhero movie ‘BLACK ADAM’ on his Instagram account on Tuesday. His movie will release on December 21, 2021.

Johnson posted the first look of the character and poster of the movie on his Instagram account with a long note in the caption. Johnson admitted his admiration for superhero characters and that he always dreamt of playing one such character since his childhood. Johnson’s cherished superhero is ‘Superman’, which he grew up watching.

“But, a few years into my fantasy, I realized that Superman was the hero, I could never be. I was too rebellious. Too rambunctious. Too resistant to convention and authority,” he wrote. “Despite my troubles, I was still a good kid with a good heart – I just liked to do things my way. Now, years later as a man, with the same DNA, I had as a kid – my superhero dreams have come true.”

Johnson added that the character in this movie is distinct from other characters he has played in his career. He distinguished his character in Black Adam with other superhero characters; Black Adam will do what is right for the people, will follow justice but ‘does not walk the line or mark the toe’.

He added that the character in Black Adam resembles real-life Dwayne Johnson.

Dwayne Johson, however, is ready to rock the cinema screens with the sequel of ‘Jumanji’ slated to release next month in December. The character of Black Adam originally came out from Shazam as a supervillain. He is the ruler of the imaginative nation Kahndaq.

In the last two decades, creators have attempted to rewrite his character, molding him into a less harsh and more of the ruler with his principles and moral conduct. People are excited to see this recreation of Black Adam into a superhero character.
