Malala Yousafzai trolled for calling Mia Khalifa her ‘bestie’

A snapshot of the conversation between Yousafzai and Khalifa on TikTok went viral last week. The conversation reflected a strong friendship between two popular females.

Pakistani education activist, Malala Yousafzai, was trolled on social media for calling former adult entertainer Mia Khalifa her ‘bestie’.

Malala Yousafzai had shared her video on International Mother Language Day on the official TikTok account of the Malala Fund last week.

Malala joined TikTok last year in December to motivate as many people to donate to her funds for the promotion of education. In her debut video, Malala had said: Some of you might already know me, you might have heard my UN speech or might have read my book I am Malala, while some of you might not know me, so I’ll briefly introduce myself.”

In her introduction, she added that she has done campaigning and advocacy for 12 years for the promotion of education for girls around the world. In her video, the education activist also talked about her multilingual skills. She said her mother language is Pashto but she can speak Urdu, English, and Swahili- a language originating from East Africa.

She added that she appeals to people to donate generously to her fund so she may continue to help girls around the world acquire safe and quality education.

In her video, Mia Khalifa had commented, ‘Queen’. Malala responded to Khalifa’s remarks by calling her ‘bestie’.

The snapshot of their conversation soon went viral on social media. Pakistani social media users trolled Malala Yousafzai for calling Mia Khalifa her bestie.

Mia Khalifa is a former Lebanese adult star while Malala Yousafzai is a 23-year old activist currently residing in the UK and enrolled in Oxford University. Nearly, 30,000 people had liked Mia Khalifa’s comment while 23,000 liked Malala’s response to Mia Khalifa.
