News Desk |

While the G7 summit was all over the news this weekend, a certain shot from the meeting has caught the attention of the internet with US President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The widely-circulating photo shows the US First Lady leaning towards the Canadian Premier while a dejected Trump stands beside her.

A simple, traditional photo session held at the conclusion of the summit has sparked numerous memes and tongue-in-cheek comments online, giving netizens a chance to channel their inner creativity and imagination. First Lady of the United States Melania Trump, 49, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, 47, were at the center of online gossip after this somewhat intimate greeting was captured in a split second.

The somewhat provocative-looking peck sparked the hashtag #MelaniaLovesTrudeau which trended on Twitter, as did a slew of jokes and movie references.

The Melania Trump-Trudeau photos are reminiscent of past moments on the global political stage in which the public has delighted in assigning chemistry to photographs of glamorous public figures interacting.
