Netizens condemn harassment of PML-N’s Hina Parvez Butt by PTI activists

Hina Parvez Butt was walking with her son in London when she was confronted by PTI activists. They followed her and hurled verbal abuses at her. 

Netizens are condemning the harassment of PML-N leader Hina Parvez Butt by PTI activists in London, saying that no one should be subjected to such treatment.

According to the details, Hina Parvez Butt was walking with her son in London when she was confronted by PTI activists. The PTI activists followed Hina Parvez Butt and her son, chanting slogans against her and calling her inappropriate names.

The PTI activists also threw bottles at the PML-N leader as she walked down the street with her son. They also hurled verbal abuses at her.

“Rude and unruly PTI people have stooped to the extent of assaulting me in front of my son in London, throwing bottles at me and hurling foul abuse at me. Are these uncivilized people making Pakistan’s name bright or defaming it? Thank God my leader Nawaz Sharif always taught patience and civility which we will never leave,” Hina Parvez Butt said on Twitter. 

The videos of Hina Parvez Butt’s harassment in London are going viral on social media as netizens, including members of Pakistan’s media fraternity, condemn the unacceptable behavior displayed by the PTI activists. Many users are highlighting the importance of maintaining a respectful and civilized political environment, irrespective of party affiliations.

While the incident continues to be condemned, netizens also reminded the PML-N leader of the harassment faced by PTI female leaders when the government launched a crackdown against them in response to the May 9 events when protests broke out across Pakistan after PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s arrest.

During the protests, state and military installations were attacked which resulted in strict action from the government authorities. A crackdown was launched where PTI leaders and supporters were arrested and had their houses raided and ransacked in the middle of the night. Reports also emerged that those arrested, including women, faced torture in jails.
