Lindsay Lohan’s father, Michael Lohan has said his daughter has a ‘platonic relationship’ with Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman. He, however, rejected the news of a tabloid claiming the pair was romantically involved.
News had been rife on social media that Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman had showered Lohan with gifts including a credit card. Lohan’s father agreed that Crown Prince presented his daughter several gifts but denied that she was given a credit card.
Talking to the New York Post, Michael Lohan, asserted that his daughter is not romantically involved with the Crown Prince and rejected the speculations that the two had a sexual relationship.
They are just friends,” he said. “Lindsay has a lot of powerful friends in the Middle East because she is huge out there. Lindsay met MBS because of the work she has been doing in the Middle East. She is working to help people in the region, particularly refugees.”
He added: “Nobody writes about the good work Lindsay does in Syria, they just want to hear the bad stuff. She has a platonic and respectful relationship with MBS, nothing more.”
He defended Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman’s alleged orders for the murder of America-based journalist Jamal Khashoggi. When asked about his involvement in the incident, Michael Lohan asserted, “None of that has proven to be true.”
“Lindsay says he’s a good person,” Michael Lohan continued. “She feels safe, she has good people around her, and she knows how to conduct herself.”
Lindsay Lohan has been very actively working in Saudi Arabia. She is also rumored to be given a leading role in an all-women Saudi movie. Lindsay, who lives part-time in Dubai, has shown growing interest in the religion of Islam and the Middle East.
Lindsay Lohan ‘studying’ Quran

Her father denied she embraced Islam, but Lindsay has not confirmed whether she plans to convert. She, however, has repeated that reading the Quran has given her peace.
During an appearance in Good Morning Britain, she elaborated on her experience of reading the Quran and studying the religion. She asserted that “Studying the Koran is something I found solace in, a religion where I found a lot of peace.”
When asked about converting to Islam, she added that “You can’t just convert to a religion overnight – it’s a culture and practice [and] I don’t want to comment on something I haven’t finished’, she told the program.”
In 2018, she deleted all of her Instagram posts and updated her bio with the message “Alaikum salam”, meaning “Peace be unto you” in Arabic.
