Pakistani Couturiers Make Landmark Debut in London’s Fashion Scene

Pakistani couturiers Malik Asad and Mohsin Naveed Ranjha make history with the launch of their Regent Street studio, ushering in a new era of South Asian fashion in London.

Entrepreneur Malik Asad and acclaimed Pakistani fashion designer Mohsin Naveed Ranjha have etched their names in history by becoming the pioneering South Asian couturiers to establish a dedicated design studio in the prestigious Regent Street district of London.

Ranjha and entrepreneur Malik Asad have inaugurated the inaugural Pakistani couture brand in the heart of London’s Regent Street, marking a momentous debut on the global fashion stage.

This groundbreaking initiative, situated on Mortimer Street, adjacent to Regent Street, is spearheaded by creative director Mohsin Naveed Ranjha, managing director Abubakar Naveed Ranjha, and fashion industry innovator Asad Malik. They assert that their MNR studio is poised to redefine luxury and elegance, offering an extensive range for both men and women.

Speaking at the launch event, Mohsin Naveed Ranjha and Malik Asad revealed that their decision to establish a presence in London was the result of comprehensive market research. They were convinced that London, particularly the areas around Regent Street, Oxford Circus, and Bond Street, provided the ideal backdrop for their studio. Their objective is to serve the British Asian community in the UK while simultaneously broadening the reach of Pakistani fashion to a wider audience.

A myriad of clients, including a substantial number from India, particularly western-based Indian Punjabis, and Bangladesh, have found London to be the most suitable location.

The opulent launch was attended by Bollywood actress Sonam Bajwa and numerous prominent figures from Pakistani and Indian society. The event drew hundreds of attendees, with queues forming outside the studio to catch a glimpse of the glamour showcased within, featuring exquisitely crafted, vibrant designer attire.

CEO Malik Asad of Cresset emphasized that the London launch was founded on meticulous market research. “It’s all about credibility and good intentions. We are the driving force behind positioning fashion brands from Pakistan on the global stage in terms of strategy, eCommerce, manufacturing, investments, and retail. We were always convinced of Mohsin’s global appeal. Establishing ourselves in the heart of London is a tremendous privilege, and we intend to collaborate with more Pakistani brands to propel them onto the global stage.”

Bollywood’s Punjabi powerhouse actor Sonam Bajwa noted that Londoners have been inquiring about acquiring quality attire for their special occasions. She remarked, “Now, individuals don’t need to travel to India or Pakistan for their wedding attire. Mohsin is in high demand in India and overseas. Mohsin’s journey transcends fashion; it’s a representation of culture and community that inspires and uplifts. His presence in London symbolizes the global recognition of South Asian creativity and craftsmanship. I’ve known Mohsin since 2018, and I’ve been wearing his designs ever since. I plan to visit Pakistan in the near future.”
