PM Khan plants trees but Bilawal Bhutto cuts them?

As per a recent video uploaded by PTI MPA Khurram Sher Zaman, trees are being cut in front of Bilawal House. In the video, he states that this act is in stark contrast to PK Khan's Billion Tree Tsunami initiative.

A video recently surfaced on social media showing scores of trees being cut outside of Bilawal House. As per reports, the Neem trees are cut down by men claiming to be from the District Municipal Corporation (DMC).

The video was shot by PTI MPA Khurram Sher Zaman who then uploaded it on Twitter. In the video, the PTI MPA is standing in front of Bilawal House. He explains that men are cutting down trees to sell the wood.

Khurram Sher Zaman highlighted the fact that PM Khan is planting trees through his Billion Tree Tsunami initiative, while on the other hand, trees are cut down in front of Bilawal Bhutto’s territory.

PM Khan’s Billion Tree Tsunami Project encourages green growth within the country. Initially launched in 2014 by the KP government, the project aims to improve and protect the ecosystems of classified forests.

With the billion trees goal reached, PM Khan’s government is currently on its way to plant a further 10 billion trees in the next five years.

Khurram Sher Zaman lamented during his video that PPP leaders are taking credit for encouraging plantation. However, some people are brazenly cutting trees in front of top PPP leaders’ residences.

“It is an unfortunate act that trees are being cut down,” he said adding that several trees were chopped off in front of the Bilawal House.

In this regard, Khurram Sher Zaman revealed in the video that PPP promised 50 lac trees. However, a cattle market was recently established on the site reserved for PPP’s forest project.

He further urges all political groups to join hands in the plantation drive for the future generations of the country.

As per recent media reports, the police registered an FIR after Khurram Sher Zaman’s complaint.
