Solitary confinement may worsen Nawaz Sharif’s health: Medical report

According to the medical report, the stress of living again in solitary confinement, as well as the loss of a partner can further compromise PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif's cardiac status before definitive treatment can be rendered.

In a fresh medical report, PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif’s physician advised him against traveling back to Pakistan. Nawaz Sharif left for London in 2019 on the basis of medical treatment. However, he has not returned since.

His physician, Dr. Fayaz Shawl wrote a new report based on his evaluation and submitted it to Lahore High Court (LHC) today. The report has been trending on Twitter since it advises Nawaz Sharif against traveling back to Pakistan.

“During my recent evaluation, I found Mr. Sharif under a lot of stress, if he returns to Pakistan without undergoing a definitive treatment in London, the stress of living again in a solitary confinement, as well as the loss of a partner can further compromise his cardiac status before definitive treatment can be rendered,” Dr. Fayaz Shawl wrote in the report.

“Given the current COVID-19 crisis in the world, he should be by all means avoid traveling and/or visiting public places airports,” the report added.

The report also stated that Nawaz Sharif has improved “somewhat on medical therapy but more so due to not being in solitary confinement.”

Important to note, in the recent past, the PML-N camp dropped major hints regarding Nawaz Sharif’s return. On several occasions, PML-N expressed confidence that Nawaz Sharif will soon return to Pakistan. In short, PML-N claims that Nawaz Sharif will keep his promise to the public and “save them” from inflation brought by the PTI government. There were rumors of a possible deal with the Establishment. However, DG ISPR rejected the rumors.

PTI’s reaction to Nawaz Sharif’s new medical report

Reacting to the medical report, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said the purpose of such “fake medical reports” is nothing but a mockery of Pakistan’s judicial system and laws. Fawad Chaudhry said the easiest way out for Nawaz Sharif is to simply return the money he stole and then continue living in London.

Meanwhile, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) Dr. Shahbaz Gill has been heavily trolling Nawaz Sharif. Since the medical report was written by Dr. Fayaz Shawl, a Pakistani-American doctor, Dr. Shahbaz Gill sarcastically said that all the heart doctors in the UK have died.

Not holding back, Dr. Shahbaz Gill further trolled the medical report’s statement that Nawaz Sharif may develop Takotsubo Syndrome.

“Not only this, but Dr. Sahib has also indirectly tried to get Nawaz Sharif married,” Dr. Shahbaz Gill tweeted.
