SAPM says Pak in UK Red List due to Nawaz’s fake medical reports

While speaking on a talk show on Monday, SAPM Awan said the UK almost took Pakistan off the red list. However, Nawaz Sharif submitted his fake medical reports along with his visa extension application, causing the UK to keep Pakistan on the red list. PML-N’s Rana Tanveer and PPP’s Manzoor Ahmed, who were also present, burst out laughing.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) Ali Nawaz Awan claims Pakistan is still on UK’s red list due to fake medical reports submitted by PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif.

While speaking on Ghareeda Farooqi’s show on Monday, SAPM Awan said the UK almost took Pakistan off the red list. However, three times former PM of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif submitted his fake medical reports along with his visa extension application.

SAPM Awan then said that the UK revoked its decision because they lost faith in Pakistan. If three times former PM is submitting his fake reports, then the regular travelers from Pakistan can also enter the UK on the basis of fake medical reports.

The revelation by SAPM Awan left journalist Farooqi dumbstruck. PML-N’s Rana Tanveer and PPP’s Manzoor Ahmed, who were also present, burst out laughing.

Unable to control his laughter, PML-N Rana Tanveer mused that Pakistan on the red list is also PML-N’s fault. He was poking fun at PTI’s consistent narrative of holding previous government’s responsible for Pakistan’s conditions.

“I salute you. Fantastic!” Rana Tanveer said amid gales of laughter.

Everyone joined in the fun, even SAPM Awan began laughing. Ghareeda Farooqi called SAPM Awan’s revelation an “interesting political argument.”

Pakistan on UK’s red list

Last week, the British government decided to keep Pakistan on the travel red list after updating its travel advisory. UK’s decision to keep Pakistan on the red list disappointed officials and the population alike.

Pakistan remains on the list despite weeks of lobbying by the Pakistan High Commission and British Pakistani MPs. They urged the UK government to review Pakistan’s position. However, the UK government showed no change for Pakistan.

As the UK announced its decision to keep Pakistan on the red list, Twitteratis and officials voiced their anger and disappointment.

They accused the UK of playing politics and having double standards. According to netizens, if Pakistan is good enough to evacuate people from Afghanistan, then it should also be good enough for the UK to allow Pakistan landing rights.
