It appears that the Indian media misinformation campaign is once again working against Pakistan. This time around, Indian media is claiming that PM Khan is cutting his trip to Moscow short. Multiple Indian media outlets reported the news.
“Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan is ending his two-day visit to Moscow, hours after Russia began a military operation in Ukraine,” Indian media reported.
As per details, the news was first reported by AP and since then spread like wildfire as several media outlets claimed that PM Khan is ending his two-day visit.

However, Pakistan has officially rejected the news, calling it fake. Dr. Arsalan Khalid, Focal Person to PM Khan on digital media, clarified that the visit is on schedule.

Similarly, Azhar Mashwani, focal person to Punjab Chief Minister also called the news “fake.”
Meanwhile, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said,” Speculations about PM’s visit are misplaced. The visit is proceeding and PM will return to Pakistan as per schedule.”

Important to note, this is not the first time that Indian media posted fake news on Pakistani. Recently it spread the propaganda that Pakistan may soon enter the blacklist of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

PM Khan in Russia
Prime Minister Imran Khan is currently in Moscow on an official trip. The visit caused hues and cries owing to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis. However, Russia warmly welcomed PM Khan.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov received PM Khan upon his arrival. The Prime Minister was also presented a guard of honor.
During his visit, PM Khan laid a floral wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow in a tribute to the casualties of World War II. Furthermore, Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a one-on-one meeting with PM Khan. In fact, official reports state that the duration of the meeting with Putin has been extended to three hours.
