Netizens demand high security for Imran Khan

Netizens are demanding security for Imran Khan. They claimed that if anything happens to Imran Khan, they will hold the incumbent government responsible.

As former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s long march to Islamabad looms near, netizens are demanding high security for their leader. Netizens’ concern for Imran Khan racked up, especially after Shireen Mazari’s press conference.

Friday, ex-minister Shireen Mazari lashed out at the incumbent government for providing VIP security to PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz while reducing former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s security. During a hard-hitting press conference on the foreign conspiracy, Shireen Mazari said there is no law and order.

“You are giving a convict, Maryam Nawaz, state-level security and removed security for a former prime minister,” Shireen Mazari said.

To clarify, the Interior Ministry of Pakistan has allowed providing VIP security to Maryam Nawaz. The security squad will include personnel from Rangers and Police. According to the media reports, security will be provided in all the residences of Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

On the other hand, last month, following Imran Khan’s ouster, PTI leader Ali Muhammad Khan revealed that the Islamabad Police and Rangers who usually patrolled the streets leading to Bani Gala [Imran Khan’s residence] were absent.

Shireen Mazari also revealed that the government wrote a letter to PTI, suggesting the steps that the party should take for Imran Khan’s security. She also said that the government refused to provide security.

As a result, netizens are demanding security for Imran Khan. According to netizens, the government should restore Imran Khan’s security since he is a national leader. Moreover, netizens are claiming that if anything happens to Imran Khan, they will hold the incumbent government responsible.

Imran Khan’s life under threat?

Currently, the PTI Chairman is giving the incumbent government a tough time. With consecutive jalsas, all widely successful, Imran Khan certainly has the strong backing of the public. However, there are concerns for his safety.
