Virat Kohli responds to Babar Azam’s message of support

Babar Azam had already created a frenzy on Thursday night with his tweet of support for Virat Kohli.

Virat Kohli responds to Babar Azam a day after the latter sent him a message of encouragement on Twitter. Responding to the tweet, Virat Kohli on Saturday extended a warm gesture taking Twitter by storm.

Virat Kohli wished Babar Azam success in his future. Kohli said, “Thank you. Keep shining and rising. Wish you all the best.” Cricket fans in Pakistan and India are elated and cheerful over a heartwarming exchange between the two top South Asian cricketers. Pakistan and India are arch-rivals and such heartwarming gestures are rarely seen between the players of the two countries.

Within a few minutes, the tweet of Virat Kohli has garnered thousands of likes and re-shares on Twitter. Babar Azam had already created a frenzy on Thursday night with his tweet of support for Virat Kohli.

The former Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been under pressure over a continuous streak of bad performance. Kohli has been under immense criticism from his fans in India to break the ongoing bout of poor performance. Virat Kohli was the skipper of the Indian cricket team during the last T20 Cricket World Cup. Pakistan convincingly defeated India in the match, plunging the Indian fans into disbelief. He lost his captaincy following the T20 World Cup.

Babar had posted the picture of the two from the same match. Both Babar Azam and Virat Kohli had exchanged pleasantries following the match. Pictures of them hugging and shaking hands grabbed the attention of international sports media.
