Fearing PTI’s call for another long-march toward Islamabad, the government is taking strict measures for the capital’s protection as it demands 30,000 security personnel.
According to the details, the PML-N-led federal government, along with the Islamabad police, has urged the provincial government to provide 30,000 personnel of police, paratroopers, and the FC force from the provinces. The centre has demanded 20,000 personnel from Punjab, 4000 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 6000 rangers.
In addition to the 30,000 security troops, an extra supply of teargas shells and drones to hurl teargas shells has been requisitioned. Moreover, reports claim that the city administration plans to dig trenches in addition to placing hundreds of containers at the entrances of Islamabad to prevent the PTI supporters from entering the federal capital.

Imran Khan’s final call
PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister has continued his political struggle against the incumbent government. He has been holding a series of rallies across Pakistan and directed his party workers to prepare for his final call.
The PTI Chief has been demanding early elections and warned the government the PDM coalition government that they cannot win this match.
Last week, Imran Khan directed party leaders and workers to start preparations for a long march in Islamabad to press his demand for early elections in the country.
“Imported government cannot be given more time,” he said, adding that a decision to go Islamabad has been made.

Pertinent to mention that earlier this year, Imran Khan launched what was dubbed as “Azadi March” against the government after his ouster from the Prime Minister’s office through the controversial no-confidence vote in April.
However, he abruptly ended the march, which had started from Peshawar, after massive clashes erupted between security forces and PTI leaders in the federal capital, claiming that the government wanted a confrontation between his party and armed forces.
This time around, the PTI Chief is once again amped up and ready to march toward Islamabad. On the other hand, the government is beefing up security in the capital.
