Netizens voice concern over threats to Murad Saeed’s life

Murad Saeed's letter to the President revealing threats to his life has raised alarm with netizens and PTI leaders demanding action before it's too late.

Netizens and PTI leaders are raising alarm and concern over the threats to PTI leader Murad Saeed from unknown persons. They are urging the President and the Chief Justice to take action.

According to the details, former federal minister Murad Saeed wrote a letter to President Dr Arif Alvi in which he claimed that he was being stalked by unidentified persons and his life is in danger, urging the President to take notice and necessary action in this regard.

The PTI leader, citing the example of slain journalist Arshad Sharif, raised concerns and hoped that this time such concerns will not be ‘overlooked and ignored’.

“Regrettably, his (Arshad Sharif) grievances and concerns were not addressed rather miserably disregarded by everyone. No one took him and his worries seriously and as a consequence, Pakistan lost a patriotic, nationalist and loyal citizen,” the letter stated.

Needless to say, Murad Saeed’s letter to the President has raised alarm as netizens pray that they cannot lose another personality. Pertinent to mention, the nation has still not recovered from Arshad Sharif’s murder and continues to demand justice. Netizens and PTI leaders are praying for Murad Saeed’s life on social media.

PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial to take notice of party leader Murad Saeed’s letter to President Dr Arif Alvi regarding life threats.

Taking to Twitter, the former premier appealed CJP Umar Ata Bandial to take notice of the letter’s content written to President Dr Arif Alvi.

“Already Senator [Azam] Swati continues to suffer the worst form of human rights abuses sadly without any intervention from our honourable Judiciary,” he wrote.

Imran Khan added, “After what happened to Arshad Sharif despite his writing to the President about the life threats he was facing, I would urge the CJP to take notice of this before it is too late.”
