PTI Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan has urged the nation to take to the streets in solidarity with the Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial.
While on his way to the Islamabad High Court, Imran Khan gave a video message to the public. He said that despite his injury, he is personally appearing before the court because he respects the judiciary, unlike others.
Imran Khan said that after an assassination attempt on him, now PTI leader Murad Saeed is being targeted. He further said there is no terrorist threat, if anything happens to him then it will be because of “Dirty Harry”.

Furthermore, Imran Khan said that on Saturday at 5:30 pm, the public should come out to the streets for one hour and express solidarity with the Chief Justice.
“The mafia has come after the Chief Justice, has divided the judiciary and making a fool of the Constitution,” Imran Khan said.
“You have to tell the Chief Justice that you are rallying behind him,” Imran Khan further added in his message to the public.
Lastly, the former prime minister said that he will be again holding four rallies in support of the Chief Justice, the Supreme Court, the Constitution, and Pakistan. He will lead the rally from Lahore.

The nation is currently on tenterhooks on the Punjab election delay case. The delay in elections has divided the nation with the government and the majority of the public locking horns over the matter. The Constitution asserts that elections be held within the ninety days period and the Supreme Court has also given the date for the elections while ordering the State Bank to release the funds.
However, the federal government has refused to comply with both the Constitution and the Supreme Court directives while maintaining that the crucial decisions regarding the election, for instance, the release of funds will be made by the Parliament.

Members of the PDM coalition have also lately taken to criticize the Chief Justice of Pakistan, accusing him of interfering in political matters. Interestingly, the whole debacle on the delay of elections has resulted in PTI and its supporters expressing solidarity with the CJP.
