Taylor Swift continues to dominate on Spotify! The iconic singer has broken records with the release of her 11th studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department”.
Confirmed by Spotify to PEOPLE on April 19th, Swift has become the most-streamed artist in a single day, along with holding the record for the most-streamed album in a single day. Impressively, Swift occupies the top three spots for the most-streamed albums in a single day in Spotify’s history with “The Tortured Poets Department”, “Midnights”, and “1989 (Taylor’s Version)”. Swift’s record-breaking streak began prior to the album’s release as “The Tortured Poets Department” became the most pre-saved album in Spotify history.

Fan excitement soared when Swift surprised everyone with a double album release. Just two hours after the initial midnight release, she unveiled 15 additional tracks, titling it “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology”.
Drawing inspiration from her past and current relationships, including Matty Healy, Joe Alwyn, and Travis Kelce, “The Tortured Poets Department” stands as Swift’s most intimate project to date. In an Instagram post, she described this phase of her life as “sensational and sorrowful in equal measure” and announced the closing of this chapter.
