Atta Tarar lashes out at AJK PM for countering PM Shehbaz

"Prime Minister of Azad Kasmir Tanvir Illyas should die of shame," Atta Tarar said while reacting to the argument between PM Shehbaz and AJK PM Sardar Tanvir.

PML-N leader and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) Atta Tarar has lashed out at the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir (AJK PM) Sardar Tanveer Illyas for countering Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

While addressing a press conference, Atta Tarar said that the AJK PM was politically inexperienced and lasted as the Prime Minister for nine months because he is the owner of Centaurus Mall and has a strong financial background. He also accused the AJK PM of sending gifts to PTI Chairman Imran Khan and bribing him.

Criticizing the politics of AJK PM, Atta Tarar said Sardar Tanveer Illyas was the highest bidder, hence he became the Prime Minister.

Moving on, taking note of the argument between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and AJK Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer, Atta Tarar lashed out at him. He said yesterday’s incident damaged Kashmir’s cause.

“Prime Minister of Azad Kasmir Tanvir Illyas should die of shame,” Atta Tarar said.

PM Shehbaz inaugurated the refurbishment project of units 5 and 6 of the Mangla Dam Hydroelectric Power Plant, built on the Jhelum river in Mangla area of AJK, on Monday where he addressed the project’s inauguration ceremony.

The Azad Kashmir prime minister stood up from his seat and said that he did not make any announcement for Azad Kashmir and strongly protested against this behavior. To which the prime minister of Pakistan told the AJK PM that he would talk to him later.

In a video clip that went viral on social media, PM Shehbaz could be seen gesturing to the AJK premier to sit down and raise his concerns after the speech. However, PM Shehbaz did not speak to the AJK premier and left the venue in a hurry.

Later, at a press conference, Sardar Ilyas said PM Sharif’s body language and gestures spoke volumes of his “irascibility”. He also said PM Shehbaz’s omission of Kashmiris’ sacrifices in his speech was tantamount to “insulting” the Kashmiri people.
