Bhutto’s death anniversary: Bilawal, Fatima share emotional messages

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Pakistan People’s Party leader shared a heart touching message on his Twitter account on the 40th martyrdom anniversary of his grandfather Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. The workers of the Pakistan People Party are commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of former Prime Minister of Pakistan on 4th April across Pakistan.

Bilawal Bhutto, Pakistan emerging leader reminiscent the sacrifices and the injustices incurred to his grandfather in his political career in his Twitter message. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was hanged to death in 1979 by the then President Zia-ul-Haq.

He hailed the slogans of the justice of his grandfather Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who was the founder of Pakistan’s popular Pakistan People Party. After Bhutto’s death, his daughter and mother of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto led the party.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in his emotional Twitter message tweeted a few verses in the Urdu language that praised the legacy of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

“Kabhi tou soch-naa yeah tum nay kya kiya logo Yeah kiss ko tum nay Sar-e-daar kho diya logo. Hawa-e-Bugz-o-Khabasat chali tou Apnay saath, uraa kay lay gayee insaaf kee qaba logo. 1/2 #QuaidEAwam #SalaamBhuttto”

Meanwhile, the granddaughter of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Fatima Bhutto, a popular international writer also tweeted on the occasion and revered his sacrifices yet she again took a dig at the current leadership of Pakistan People’s Party.

“40 years ago my grandfather, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, was assassinated by the Pakistani state. Today, those with no love or fidelity for his politics will give speeches in his honour. The handmaidens of his death will lay petals on his grave,” said Fatima Bhutto.

“Those who love him, will remember his words: “The purpose of democracy is to bring about the flowering of society and to know the inner thoughts of the people without fear, “tweeted Fatima Bhutto.

Bhutto’s death anniversary is being observed today at Garhi Khuda Bux where more than 7,000 policemen have been deployed to avoid any misfortune event.
