Fahd Husain announced his resignation on Twitter. He also praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, saying that no one could have dealt with tough times in a better way than the premier.

Fahd Husain, the special assistant to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, tendered his resignation on Tuesday, less than a year after his appointment.

Taking to Twitter, Fahd Husain announced his resignation. He also praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, saying that no one could have dealt with tough times in a better way than the premier.

“I have stepped down as Special Assistant to PM after a productive stint of a year. Grateful to Prime Minister Shehbaz for giving me the opportunity to serve in public office. I witnessed first-hand how the prime minister navigated multiple fault lines in tough times. No other could have done it better,” Fahd Husain said.

The premier has accepted Fahd Husain’s resignation and thanked his former special assistant for his “wise counsel” after the latter resigned from the post.
