Film banned in Pakistan becomes biggest hit of Salman’s career

‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ has become Bollywood’s highest grossing movie of 2017. To be exact the movie has earned the profits of Rs.325.71 crore at box office within the three weeks of its release

With such hefty sums, the movie has turned out to be the biggest film of Salman Khan’s career. This is Salman Khan’s third movie after ‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’ and ‘Sultan’ to surpass the figures of Rs.300 crore.

The 52-year-old said in a statement, “I hope the industry has many bigger successes this year. It is important that we see more blockbusters. It will expand our industry, provide more jobs for people and entertain audiences much more. I’m happy with the business that Tiger Zinda Hai has been doing at the box office.”

Previously, the record was held by Bajrangi Bhaijaan which had raked in Rs 320.34 crore in its lifetime. The third spot is held by Salman’s sports drama Sultan with Rs 300.45 crore

Salman Khan hopes many more movies will be created that will break the records for the industry to flourish and expand.

The actor also stated, “Records are never ever-lasting. They are meant to be broken and it’s good for such things to happen more frequently.”

The movie, due to its anti-Pakistan content, was banned from release in Pakistan. However, Salman Khan fans are still hoping for the release of this action-packed movie in Pakistan.

The movie is set in some exotic locations in the Middle East and Europe including Morocco, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Greece, and Austria.

The movie will continue to reign the box office until January 25th as later in the month, two big movies ‘Padman’ and ‘Padmaavat’, are set to release on January 25th and 26th consecutively.

How effectively Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ will sustain its success at the box office is going to be interesting to see.
