When the hearing resumed, Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial told Imran Khan, “It is good to see you.” Furthermore, during that hearing, the SC declared Imran Khan’s arrest from the IHC premises unlawful and ordered his immediate release.

Later, the federal cabinet held a meeting taking notice of the rioting incidents that erupted in Pakistan after Imran Khan’s arrest and said that terrorism and anti-nationalism are not acceptable under any circumstances.

The meeting also strongly condemned the words of the chief justice including “Good to see you” and said that this expression of a person sitting on the highest seat of justice in a corruption case is a shameful blemish on the forehead of justice. Addressing the cabinet, PM Shehbaz disapproved of the “double standards of justice.”
