India in anger over brutal mutilation of Hindu woman in Sindh

According to the disturbing details, the victim named Daya Bhel was gang raped and brutally beheaded. Her head was separated from her body and the flesh ripped from her skull.

India is demanding justice for a 40-year-old woman Hindu woman in Sinjhoro town, Sindh after disturbing details of her murder went viral on social media.

In a strong response to the incident, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi asked the Pakistani government to take serious measures to safeguard the minorities in the country.

“We have seen reports about it, but we don’t have specific details on the case, but we have reiterated that Pakistan should protect its minorities along with their safety, security, and well-being, which is their responsibility,” Ministry of External Affairs, spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said while condemning the murder of the Hindu woman in Sindh.

According to the disturbing details, the victim named Daya Bhel was gang raped and brutally beheaded. Her head was separated from her body and the flesh ripped from her skull. Her breast was also chopped off. The remains of her body were dumped in a wheat field to rot.

The Sindh police are investigating the matter and sniffer dogs have been deployed to find leads. Besides, the dead body of the victim has been sent for postmortem. Police have registered FIR.

“This case is being closely watched and the murderers of Daya will be arrested soon,” SSP Bashir Ahmed Brohi said. A five-member joint-investigation team led by Sinjhoro DSP Javed Ahmed Chandio has also been formed.

 

The heinous murder has raised a storm in the Hindu community of Pakistan as justice is being demanded for Daya Bhel who leaves behind four children.

PPP leaders have also paid visits to the family of Daya Bhel to pay their condolences while assuring that the culprits will be caught. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and Sindh Chief Minister have also taken note of the horrific incident.

The family of the victim has demanded that the real killers of Daya should be traced and revealed before everyone. Civil society and local residents and human rights organizations have termed this incident as the “worst crime against humanity”.
