Maryam Nawaz Sharif, daughter of former premier Nawaz Sharif alleged in her social media message on Friday Jan11 that the access to a doctor was not being provided to Mr. Sharif in the jail.

Dr. Adnan is the personal doctor of Nawaz Sharif and had earlier claimed that he was not satisfied with the treatment given to Mr. Nawaz by jail authority for influenza and fever he was suffering from. Hence, he had requested to be allowed to examine the former PM.
Nawaz Sharif has been in Kot Lakhpat jail since Dec 25, as an accountability court sentenced him to seven years in prison in Al-Azizia reference.
Another party leader, Ahsan Iqbal warned that if anything happens to Nawaz Sharif’s health, the party will register the case against PM Khan, chief minister, interior minister and the jail superintendent. He also alleged that government for intentionally depriving Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif of medical facilities.

However, Shahbaz Gill the spokesperson to chief minister Punjab denied the allegations of PML-N leadership. In a message posted on same social media forum, Mr. Gill said that Dr. Adnan did contact the jail administration at 5: 38 pm requesting them for a meeting with Sharif.
“The jail doctor had already conducted the check-up earlier in the day and had found Mr. Sharif sound and healthy; his blood pressure, sugar level, and ECG were all normal. Therefore, Dr. Adnan was advised to visit Mr. Sharif next day,” said Gill in his video message.

“Dr. Adnan acknowledged so; I have the message record of the conversation,” claimed Mr. Gill.
