PM Khan closed schools for his jalsa: Bilawal says for a Sunday?

While talking to the media, the PPP leader accused PM Khan of closing down schools for his rallies so that students can take part. His statement did not go unnoticed by SAPM on Political Communication Dr. Shahbaz Gill.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is once again coming under fire for his statements. This time around, he accused PM Khan of closing down schools for his rally.

Pakistan’s political atmosphere is picking up pace due to the Opposition’s no-trust move. As a result, the government and the Opposition are constantly taking shots at each other.

This time around, while talking to the media, the PPP leader accused PM Khan of closing down schools for his rallies so that students can take part, adding to the crowd. Important to note, large crowds at a political rally are considered a sign of popularity and strength.

“We received information that Imran Khan is closing all schools wherever he is holding jalsas,” the PPP leader said. His statement did not go unnoticed by SAPM on Political Communication Dr. Shahbaz Gill.

“Bilawal once again said something foolish. ‘Imran Khan closed schools so children can attend the rallies’,” Dr. Shahbaz Gill wrote on Twitter.

“Which schools are opened on a Sunday?” the SAPM further added. In the comment section, the Twitteratis began trolling Bilawal Bhutto for insinuating that schools are open on a Sunday.

Important to note, this is not the first time that the PPP leader came under fire for his statements. The PPP leader is also often targeted for his frequent slip of tongues while speaking in Urdu.

Earlier, the PPP leader trended heavily for his “kaanpain tang rahi hain” phrase. He meant to say taangein kaamp rahein hain, [legs are shivering] but his slip of tongue launched hilarious memes.

Reacting to this hilarious gaffe, PM Khan, during his speech at the Governor’s House, urged Asif Zardari to teach Bilawal proper Urdu.

“Even an Englishman learns to speak Urdu in two years,” he further said.

PM Khan’s Hafizabad rally

On Sunday, PM Imran Khan held a public rally at Hafizabad. The premier said that 25 years ago, he decided to join politics for the sake of the country’s youth. He added that he had no personal gains from doing so as he already had everything in life that a person could dream of.

During the speech, the premier promised the people of Punjab that his government will work on the development of the province, something which he claimed would be “unprecedented” in the country’s history.

The premier then talked about transforming Pakistan into an exemplary welfare society, based on the model of the State of Madinah.
