Priyanka Chopra is set to continue her Hollywood takeover; in what could be her biggest film yet, Cowboy Ninja Viking. The movie based on writer A.J. Leibermen’s comic of the same name for Image comics, sparked interest among fans when it was announced that Chris Pratt would be leading the film.
According to news outlets Chopra won after her chemistry test with Pratt in Berlin went exceptionally well and she was able to beat a number of other notable actresses. The film set to release in summer next year revolves around an assassin (played by Pratt) who uses his three personas, his cowboy, ninja and Viking ones to fight.
The film marks Priyanka Chopra’s return to the big screen following her debut Hollywood films Baywatch and A Kid Like Jake. Both the two films featured Chopra in smaller roles but given how coveted this role was, it’s very likely that she will have a substantial part in the film and will have more to do than just Pratt’s love interest.

Interestingly, the comics feature many characters who have three personalities (and are called Triplets) so the role may have Chopra showcasing her acting chops like never before. Chopra’s been making headlines recently for getting engaged to singer and actor Nick Jonas.
In fact some news outlets are even stating that the couple may be getting married very soon. This was ignited by Chopra pulling out of Bharat, the big budget Hindi film starring Salman Khan with the director seemingly suggesting that it had something to do with her relationship with Jonas.
On Twitter the director of Bharat, Abbas Ali Zafar stated: “Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of Bharat the film and the reason is very very special, she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her. Team Bharat wishes Priyanka Chopra loads of love and happiness for life.”
This had many fans thinking that Jonas and Chopra were thinking of having a wedding soon but now it may be that Chopra decided to leave Bharat to work in Cowboy Ninja Viking. She has already been replaced in Bharat by Katrina Kaif. That said, Priyanka Chopra is currently shooting her Indian film The Sky Is Pink with Farhan Akhtar in Mumbai, so she hasn’t completely ended her career in Bollywood.

Cowboy Ninja Viking will be directed by Michelle McLaren who is primarily known for directing TV shows such as Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones and Westworld. Considering that the film has its roots in action and most of the main characters are agents, we can expect Chopra to show off the moves that she’s perfected in Quantico and in films like Don.
The film’s script was initially written by Deadpool writers, Paul Wernick and Everett David Reese, but the screenplay was later done by Dan Mazeau and Ryan Engle. Let’s see how this film shapes up in the days to come.
