Rawalpindi Police recovers three-month-old kidnapped child

As per the details, CPO Shehzad Naeem Bukhari handed over the child to his parents. Police also detained the suspects involved in the kidnapping of other children.

Rawalpindi Police recovers a three-month-old child who was kidnapped from the Benazir Bhutto Hospital’s outpatient department on Friday. The baby was kidnapped on Wednesday.

As per the details, CPO Shehzad Naeem Bukhari handed over the child to his parents. Police also detained the suspects involved in the kidnapping of other children. Musa Aftab was kidnapped from the OPD when her mother handed over him to her 10-year-old daughter Ayesha Fatima when she went in for a check-up.

Immediately after the incident, the father of the child Malik Aftab complained to the Police at the Waris Khan police station. He registered the case against an unidentified woman. Police obtained the CCTV footage from the hospital.

The Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Sohail Ahmed Chaudhry directed to form the fact-finding committee. The committee blamed the parents of the children for the kidnapping of the child. Negligence of the parent was given as the reason in the report.

CPO Rawalpindi congratulated SP Rawal, SDPO Civil lines, ASP Newtown, and all those involved in the successful operation. The team called it an ‘achievement not only for all of us but for humanity.

The video of police handing over the baby to the mother has been shared on social media. The mother hugged the baby.

CPO Shehzad Bukhari shared the video. “Alhamdolillah, with passionate and tireless efforts; Rawalpindi Police recovered 03 months old child #Musa who was kidnapped from BBH hospital, and ensured baby’s safe return to his mother, reviving back the smiles. This is an achievement for #Humanity, I believe!,” said Bukhari in his tweet.

Netizens complimented the Police for acting swiftly before any permanent damage was done to the kid. A user said that such practices will increase the trust of the public in the Police. He asked Rawalpindi to direct all other SHOs to perform their duties in this way.
