Police investigates suicide case
The actor committed suicide at his Mumbai residence on 14th June 2020. A day after his death, the police confirmed he showed signs of clinical depression. Also, they are consulting a psychiatrist for further investigation.
“We have so far recorded the statement of his sister, two managers, a cook, actor Mahesh Shetty and a keymaker who was called to the spot to open his bedroom‘s door.”
No celebrity’s death has ever affected me as badly as Sushant Singh Rajput’s. His pressures, troubled equations with egoistic assholes sitting in positions of power, betrayals by those he loved and trusted, character assassination. It all feels so personal. Hope, Karma hits soon.

Police conducted his post-mortem. Police revealed the cause of death to be asphyxia due to hanging. An officer added, “Rajput called him (Mahesh Shetty) in the wee hours on Sunday, but Shetty could not answer as he was sleeping. However, when he called back in the afternoon, Rajput did not answer. We believe he must have taken the extreme step by then.”
Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh tweeted that, “While the post mortem report says actor @itsSSR committed suicide by hanging himself. He said there are media reports that the actor suffered from clinical depression and professional rivalry.
In his statement to the Police, KK Singh, the father of Sushant Singh Rajput said that he knows his son felt ‘low’. But they don’t know why he was depressed. Moreover, they did not express suspicion on anyone.
The complete lack of ethics to print what the psychiatrist has said about a patient….and on the entertainment page!

The family says they don’t know why Sushant was depressed. Hence, they did not even express suspicion on anyone.
Sushant Singh’s manager, Siddharth Pitani, said that he had stopped taking his medication as he started feeling better. An officer said, “Pithani says he is not aware of the reason why Rajput was depressed”. But he said he heard from the staff of the actor that the actor was not taking his medicines in the past few weeks as he was feeling better.
Reporting on Sushant Singh Rajput's death is nauseating. Every reporter/editor who named the psychiatrist, his ex, or family should be fired.

Sushant Singh was an intelligent and talented actor said Mukesh Chabra, Bollywood casting director. An official said, “Chhabra told us that Rajput wasn’t phone-friendly and he wouldn’t always answer phone calls.”
Police even questioned her friend Rhea Chakraborty for eight hours. She said Sushant Singh was not happy with the nature of his contract with a production house. He had a three-film contract with them. But they did not let him work for other production houses when the opportunity arose. A police official said, “We will have to verify the claims (by the actor) made in the statement.” So, Police are investigating the case for any professional rivalry as well. Hence, they asked Yash Raj Films to submit a copy of the contracts with Sushant Singh Rajput.
