Amir Khan promises to avenge Pakistan’s cricket team

Pakistani-British boxer Amir Khan has expressed his resolve to avenge the recently defeated Pakistan cricket team against India in World Cup 2019. He stated that he would knockout the Indian boxer Neeraj Goyat in an upcoming fight scheduled in Saudi Arabia next month.

The former light-welterweight champion will face India’s no. 1 boxer at the World Boxer Asian Champion in Jeddah. Khan attended the high-voltage India-Pakistan cricket match along with his wife Faryal Makhdoom at Old Trafford. Goyat, however, was quick to respond to Amir’s tweet and retorted: ‘In your dreams’.

Amir Khan also volunteered to help Pakistani cricketers’ upbeat their fitness, which has become a major reason for their underperformance at the World Cup.

We are professional sportsmen and it’s nice that India and Pakistan should fight in the fields of cricket, boxing, and other sports. Pakistan and India will be trying to beat each other in sports and more of that needs to happen.

In a tweet posted today, Amir Khan reached out to the Pakistan Cricket Board and observed that the team has talent but needs order in their eating, sleeping, and training habits.

“Would love to help Pakistan cricket team with some advise on how to stay fit and strong. How to be disciplined on food, diet, and training. The team has talent but need to improve on Strength & conditioning and focus,” wrote Amir Khan. The Pakistani boxer also posted his pictures showing him undergoing rigorous exercises ahead of a big fight next month.

Earlier, while addressing the press on facing an Indian opponent, Amir Khan stated that he would maintain healthy competition since he is a sportsman.

The boxer stated: “In view of the on-going hostilities between India and Pakistan and especially what’s going on at the border, it will be interesting. Of course, there is lots of pressure. We are professional sportsmen and it’s nice that India and Pakistan should fight in the fields of cricket, boxing, and other sports. Pakistan and India will be trying to beat each other in sports and more of that needs to happen.”
