HBL PSL 7 earns record-breaking profits up to 71%

The seventh installment of HBL PSL saw a 200% increase in sponsorships and broadcasting rights. Sponsorship categories were upgraded with brands partnership rights. These were then divided into two categories.

According to a recent statement issued by PCB Chairman, Ramiz Raja, the profit earned by HBL PSL 7 is up to 71%. Raja says, each franchise earned Rs.90 crores- the highest-ever earned profits in the history of the Pakistan Super League.

Moreover, the seventh installment of HBL PSL 7 saw a 200% increase in sponsorships and broadcasting rights. Sponsorship categories were upgraded with brands partnership rights. These were then divided into two categories. Also, the broadcasting and live-streaming rights supported the revenue uptick.

Talking about the recently concluded HBL PSL 7 Ramiz Raja said: “There’s no doubt PSL 7 has been a phenomenal success & this is largely due to the amazing crowds in Karachi & Lahore. In my professional career, I’ve never seen such charged up, overwhelming, enthusiastic, lively, and supportive crowds, particularly in Lahore.”

Big plans for next year’s HBL PSL!

“On behalf of the Pakistan Cricket Board, I thank all the fans who crossed the turnstiles to not only play their significant part in the success of HBL PSL 7 but through our high-definition production showcased Pakistan as a cricket passionate country,” he added further

“I would like to thank our sponsors, players, franchises, the medical team, law enforcing agencies, local and provisional administrations, commentators and crew members, and ground staff for their untiring efforts, as well as millions watching on television all around the world who made this HBL PSL a memorable spectacle,” said Ramiz Raja in a statement issued by PCB.

He added the next-big plans, PCB has to develop further PSL in the next edition. “HBL PSL 7 profits jumped to 71 percent, the most in its history, with each franchise earning around PKR900million, again the most in HBL PSL’s history, and all before the first ball was even bowled. For next year, we aspire to take this league to the homes of all franchises and broaden its fan-reach,” said Raja in his statement.
