“Thank you so much, Punjab Government @MaryamNSharif for considering me capable enough for this responsibility, but after putting some thought, I humbly decline the offer and wish you all the best for the culture ministry,” said Iffat Omar in the tweet on X.
Earlier, Iffat Omar, one of the staunch supporters of PMLN, had expressed disappointment with the present leadership of PMLN.
“Everyone asking me inbox why I have stopped giving my views on politics, my answer after personal experience with the ‘ government ‘ is, politics is dead, it’s all about stupid optics and pleasing real masters. The only reason I have against PTI, can’t accept in your failure. @NawazSharifMNS agar yehi karna tha tu pehley hi kar laitey, why did u even claim k vote ko izzat do? For this? In so many years, this is what you end your politics to?? Deeply disappointed. Everyone in power thinks they know it all, sorry to tell u, you know nothing, yes nothing, except it. Power just gives power, not knowledge,” she said in a post on X. Perhaps her disappointment explains her refusal to accept the post.
