The teenage girl was on her way to school when she was abducted by the boys at gunpoint, who later gang-raped her.

Three of the four youths, who allegedly gang-raped a 17-year-old schoolgirl in the federal capital’s Sector E-9, have been arrested. Police are on the hunt for the fourth suspect.

The Shalimar police have registered a first information report (FIR) under Section 375-A of the Pakistan Penal Code against the four alleged rapists, including Atish, Junaid son of Ansar Mehmood, Afad Malik alias Faadi and Hassan Shakeel. Three, except Hassan, have been arrested.

According to the details, the teenage girl was on her way to school when she was abducted by the boys at gunpoint, who later gang-raped her. The victim saw one of the suspects, Atish — a friend of her brother — a few steps away from the main gate of the school.

The suspect asked the victim to accompany him about an emergency. The suspect took her to a house in the village Matiari where three of his friends Junaid, Afad, and Hassan were present.

The prime suspect tortured her along with his friends, slapped her and pulled her hair, and acted inappropriately with her. When the girl showed resistance the boys placed a gun on her head and threatened to kill her if she shouted or reacted. They later went on to rape and molest her taking turns, torturing her in the process.

An increase in rape cases in the federal capital has sparked alarm. Earlier, two more rape cases surfaced in Islamabad. A woman and a girl were allegedly raped in separate incidents in the capital.

In the first incident, an eight-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in Hamdani Town following which a case was registered with Shahzad Town police. In another incident, a woman who was looking for a job was allegedly raped in Ghauri Town.
