Jahangir Tareen apologizes for disrespectful comments against Bushra bibi

The objectionable comments have been censured on social media. However, the former close aide of Imran Khan is receiving backlash on social media for overstepping ethical and moral boundaries.

IPP leader Jahangir Tareen apologizes for his disrespectful comments against Bushra Bibi, wife of former prime minister Imran Khan, in a TV interview.

Taking to X, he expressed his regret for passing objectionable comments against Bushra Bibi.

“Regarding my comments on Nadeem Malik’s show, it was not my intention to malign anyone. I have always refrained from making derogatory comments about politicians’ families, even while my own family was under attack. I only shared what was said to me verbatim. In hindsight it should have been kept private,” said Jahangir Tareen in his tweet.

‘’It is my responsibility to take care of those who are extending support to me as I like to serve the people.”

Speaking about Imran Khan a few months ago, Jahangir Tareen said, accused him of turning into a “different man” altogether from the moment he assumed power.

Tareen said that he had high hopes for a leader who advocated for the vision of a “Naya Pakistan” (new Pakistan) but lamented that these aspirations remained unfulfilled.

He expressed these views at an inauguration of the party divisional secretariat office in Rawalpindi, he highlighted that despite the injustices he faced during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s tenure, he chose to refrain from delving into these matters and instead chose to monitor the ongoing developments.

“I have achieved a lot for myself, and now I want to do something for the country,” he added.

He pledged to create a new Pakistan where justice prevails, employment opportunities are abundant, and the leadership is honest. Tareen commended the enthusiasm of the people present during the ceremony and stated that this was just the beginning.
