Jahangir Tareen rejects govt’s attempts to reach out?

Sources also said that the Jahangir Khan Tareen Group (JKTG) is refusing to meet anyone from the government side. Reports state that all the MNAs from JKTG have expressed support for the Opposition amid the no-trust move. 

Former PTI leader Jahangir Khan Tareen has refused to accept contact from any member of the PTI government. According to details, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail once again reached out to Jahangir Tareen.

As per media sources, Imran Ismail called Jahangir Tareen, who is currently residing in London. However, Jahangir Tareen did not answer the phone call. Moreover, Imran Ismail did not even receive a call-back.

Interestingly, sources also said that the Jahangir Khan Tareen Group (JKTG) is refusing to meet anyone from the government side. Reports state that all the MNAs from JKTG have expressed support for the Opposition amid the no-trust move.

Additionally, the JKTG will hold a consultative session today at 6 pm. Jahangir Tareen will attend the meeting via video link. During the meeting, JKTG will discuss the no-trust move against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The Jahangir Tareen group’s leader Awn Chaudhary said in a statement that all members will table recommendations regarding the next strategy of the no-confidence motion.

The members will exchange views on their meetings with PML-N leader and Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz and PML-Q top leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.

Tides are turning against PM Khan?

Important to note, the JKTG has yet to make a final public decision on whom it will support amid the no-trust move. On the other hand, earlier, dozens of PTI MNAs emerged from the Sindh House which has been labeled by PM Khan as a center for horse-trading.

Among the PTI MNAs was PTI MNA, Raja Riaz, a member of Jahangir Tareen like-minded group. He rejected the claims of taking any bribes and clarified that the MNAs took shelter at the Sindh House after the recent incident of Parliament Lodges.

“Nobody has offered money to us, will vote according to our conscience,” Raja Riaz said and added two dozens of MNAs are with them.
