Karan Johar reveals expected Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 2 cast

Indian director Karan Johar announced to cast Alia Bhatt, Jhanvi Kapoor, and Ranbir Kapoor if he would ever make Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 2. ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ was a massive hit back in 1998. The film had a star cast of Shah Rukh, Rani Mukherjee and Kajol.

He made the statement while hosting his radio show ‘Calling Karan Season 2′ A caller asked him if he ever would make a sequel of Bollywood’s biggest hit. He responded, “If I make Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 2, I would cast Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor in it.”

The ace director has provided a successful launch to these two actors, Alia Bhatt and Jhanvi Kapoor. Alia Bhatt kicked off her career as a debutante in “Student of the Year” helmed by Karan Johar. Jhanvi Kapoor was featured in a lead role in her debut movie ‘Dhadak ‘ released this year. Dhadak was directed by Karan Johar.

Ranbir Kapoor has collaborated with Karan Johar on ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’. On the other hand, Karan Johar has already cast Jhanvi Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in his upcoming periodic movie ‘Takht’ that also features Kareena Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles.

On the other hand, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are enjoying an off-screen relationship. The couple, however, shares an age gap of ten-years but seems to connect well with each other. Both Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt had dated their colleagues before duo fell in love with each other.

Ranbir Kapoor was rumored to have been dating Deepika Padukone. Alia Bhatt was also rumored to be in a relationship with his Student of the Year co-actor Siddharth Malhotra. As per the multiple unconfirmed news reports, the couple is looking forward to tying the knot in near future.
