CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz stokes another controversy in her new viral video where she is seen setting the scarf of a female police officer during her visit to Safe City Punjab.
A video of with an inspirational song in the background went viral on social media. The video showed Maryam Nawaz standing behind the female police official who was explaining her tasks. During the conversation, the scarf of the police official slips from her head. A few moments later, Maryam Nawaz sets the scarf of the lady on her head.
Social media stands divided on the matter. Some appreciated her move while others called it a ‘useless PR stunt’. Several users have criticized her for breaching the personal space of female police officers. Others said that her focus should have been on her work and not on the scarf of the female police officer.
Some of them argued that the Police officer could have set the scarf herself later. A group of users pointed out that there was no need for Maryam Nawaz to set the scarf of the lady when half of her head is exposed despite wearing a dupatta that is tied to her bun.

The video has gone viral on social media and shows a party member apparently Uzma Kardar hugging her while congratulating her on becoming the first female Chief Minister of Punjab, putting her hand on Nawaz’s shoulder. Maryam Nawaz quickly pushed her hands away from her shoulder. And asked her not to touch her shoulders and clothes.
