Modi Sarkaar starts dreaming of “Fair Kashmiri Girls” in Parliament

While the Kashmiris suffer after the deprivation of their distinct constitutional identity due to the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A, BJP leader and scores of Indian men trivialized the unconstitutional act with their uninhibited desperation for fair Kashmiri girls.

BJP legislature passed a misogynistic statement on Kashmiri women in his speech addressing his party members on the significance of the revoking of Article 370 and 35-A. Listing the benefits of repealing the Jammu Kashmir’s autonomous status to the Indians, Vikram Siani BJP MLA from UP, wooed Indian men with a dream of having a fair Kashmiri bride.

The BJP’s Legislature Statement

“With the government’s Kashmir decision, BJP workers could now go there, buy plots of land and get married,” his bizarre statement came while he was addressing a function at Muzaffarnagar to celebrate the move.

BJP Siani himself seems to be drooling on having a Kashmiri girl, added that “The workers are very excited and those who are bachelors can get married. There is no issue now.”

He presumed that Kashmiri women would be happy marrying a man from other Indian states. He stated, “Earlier, there was a lot of atrocities on women. If a woman from IOK got married to a man from Uttar Pradesh, her citizenship would be revoked. There was different citizenship for India and IOK,” the lawmaker said.

Application Tik Tok, in particular, was flooded with the messages of desperate Indian men, boasting about India’s ‘victory’ and a constitutional right of owning a Kashmiri girl.

“Muslim workers should celebrate. They can get married to fair Kashmiri girls. There should be celebrations. Everyone should celebrate, be it Hindus or Muslims. This is something the entire country should be celebrating,” he added.

The BJP legislature was caught on camera passing patriarchal remarks that garnered him the wrath of the social media users. The netizens rebuffed him for downplaying the somberness of India’s move against Kashmir.

The unrepentant lawmaker despite severe dissension on social media defended his statement stating that there is nothing ‘objectionable’ in it.

“Now anyone can get married to a Kashmiri girl without any issue. That is all I said and it is the truth. This is freedom for the people of IOK. That is why we organized the event. Now, Kashmiris have attained freedom,” Vikram Saini said.

Indian Men’s Desperation for Kashmiri Girls

Several Indian social media users also shared the misogynistic outlook of BJP legislature stating that now they have the right to everything and anything that is Kashmiri including Kashmiri women.

Google’s trends in the past few days testify the desperation of Indian men to possess fair Kashmiri girls. Searching for Kashmir on Google will show that a mammoth of Indian men extensively looked for Kashmiri girls on the search engine. And Kerala seems to be topping the list. Followed by Gujrat, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh.

As per real-time Google trends in India, the Indian men are searching for buying property in Kashmir and marrying the Kashmiri girls.

Besides Google, several other social media applications recorded a surge in desperate messages of Indian men for Kashmiri girls. Application Tik Tok, in particular, was flooded with the messages of desperate Indian men, boasting about India’s ‘victory’ and a constitutional right of owning a Kashmiri girl. There has been a surge in similar content on Facebook and Twitter.

Social Media Reacted

The social media users stated that this is the outright insult of Kashmiri women to objectifying them for sensual pursuits. A score of Indian women slammed and protested against Indian men for drooling over Kashmiri girls when their strict religious morals prohibit them from marrying a girl outside their caste.

Social media users challenged the perception created by BJP legislature and rectified that section 370 never forbade Kashmiri women from marrying a non-Kashmiri. Hence it should be understood now that fair Kashmir girls were not bound by law but by a matter of choice. It, however, barred them from having a share in their property.
