Mr. Bean: The Animated Series Announces Fourth Season for 2025

"Mr. Bean: The Animated Series" joyfully announces its fourth season set for 2025, promising more mischievous escapades for global audiences.

In a delightful development for fans worldwide, Banijay’s Tiger Aspect Kids & Family, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery and ITVX, has given the green light to the fourth season of the beloved “Mr. Bean: The Animated Series.”

This iconic animated show, co-created by Rowan Atkinson and Richard Curtis, is scheduled to air on Cartoonito and HBO Max across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The series will also be available for streaming in Southeast Asia and South Asia, making its debut in 2025 to mark the 35th anniversary of the first live-action episode.

The mischievous and adventurous escapades of Mr. Bean and Teddy have captured the hearts of audiences globally. Initially launched in its live-action format in 1990, Mr. Bean transitioned into animation in 2002, with Rowan Atkinson lending his voice to the beloved character. The animated series has been broadcast in 195 territories, maintaining a strong presence for over 30 years.

Reflecting on his association with the animated series, Rowan Atkinson expressed enthusiasm for the creative freedoms the animated format allows, stating, “We can take him into space or down a tin mine, without me personally having to suffer the consequences. The animation process creatively is always fascinating, and I’m looking forward to getting stuck into the new series very much.”

 

Season 4 Details and Global Reach

Executive produced and voiced by Rowan Atkinson, Season 4 will consist of 52 episodes, each lasting 11 minutes, bringing the total number of episodes across all series to 182. The upcoming season will air on Cartoonito and HBO Max in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa on Warner Bros. Discovery’s kids channels. Additionally, it will be available on streaming services across Southeast Asia and South Asia, along with ITVX Kids in the U.K. and Ireland.

The animated series, with its whimsical depiction of Mr. Bean’s antics, has garnered a massive following over the years. With 140 million followers on Meta, 72 million subscribers, 19 billion lifetime views on official YouTube channels, 10 million followers on Instagram, and 14.2 million likes on TikTok, Mr. Bean remains an enduring British comedy icon.

The fourth season will be produced by Tiger Aspect Kids & Family, with Tom Beattie serving as managing director and executive producer. Dave Osborne will direct the series, while Arnold Widdowson takes on the role of producer. The head writers for the series are Ciaran Murtagh and Andrew Barnett Jones.
