Mufti Taqi Usmani asks politicians to refrain from using foul language

There has been a fierce exchange of foul language and statements between the government and opposition ever since the no-confidence motion has been submitted against Prime Minister Imran Khan in the National Assembly by the joint opposition parties.

Prominent religious scholar, Mufti Taqi Usmani, has expressed shock at the use of foul language by politicians. The religious scholar regretted the breach of Islamic values and principles by politicians these days.

There has been a fierce exchange of foul language and statements between the government and opposition ever since the no-confidence motion has been submitted against Prime Minister Imran Khan in the National Assembly by the joint opposition parties. Mufti Taqi did not name any political party but have requested the politicians to show restrain while addressing public rallies.

“It is frightening to imagine the extent to which Islamic rules and values are being violated in political disputes. May Allah protect us from its calamity. The Holy Qur’an says in Surah Al-Hujurat: Don’t call me by name,” said Mufti Taqi Usmani while calling out politicians in a tweet.

In another tweet, he said,” Whether the difference is political or ideological, the way of killing and abusing it by making it an enemy is deadly for the society. Criticism is based on arguments and not in vulgar language. Think about where we are going.”

Strong words

PTI MPA Sindh Dewan Sachal warned that many PTI members will go to jail if the Opposition ousts the government. He made strong claims while talking to the media.

Lashing out, Dewan Sachal said the main fault lies within the PTI team. He also accused PTI parliamentary leader Khurrum Sher Zaman of allegedly destroying PTI.

Earlier, PM Imran Khan in his public speech has said that COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa has asked not to call JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman a ‘diesel’.

He said these statements while addressing a public rally in Lower Dir. PM Imran Khan said that it was the public who gave him the title of ‘diesel’. Earlier, during his speech in Karachi he took a dig at PPP leader, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for his slip of the tongue.
