Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif could face consequences for flouting coronavirus restrictions in London after a concerned citizen filed a complaint against him on Monday.

A Twitter user had tagged the London Metropolitan Police Service under the video of Sharif walking on the streets of London. The video was posted to Twitter by another user.

“More than 6 people are not allowed to be together in the UK at the moment. He is breaking the law there too,” commented a Twitter user under the video.

To which another tweep responded and said: “Dear @metpoliceukthese men are breaking the 6 people rule. Please look into this. Their group leader’s surname is Sharif and address is Avonfield Apartments, Park Lane. Thanks.”

The London Metropolitan Police Service immediately responded to the tweet and commented: “Hello can you please DM us about this so we can discuss the matter further.”

The Twitter user even shared a screenshot of the messages she received on her complaint. The user had registered the complaint against Sharif in the Twitter chat to which London Met Police assured to take action against them.
