Pakistan cricket team spends time with victims of Christchurch Mosque

Pakistani cricket team has been setting goodwill gestures in their ongoing trip to New Zealand.

Pakistan Cricket Team spent Saturday afternoon with the victims of the Christchurch Mosque attack at Hagley Oval as a goodwill gesture.

The cricketers who are currently in New Zealand for a cricket series mingled up with the families. Cricketers clicked pictures with the children and presented them with gifts. Pakistan Cricket Board shared the video of the cricketers meeting with the family on its official Twitter account.

“I know that we did not go through the situation that you people did, but we do understand the pain that you feel,” said the batting coach Younis Khan to the families.

Misbah-ul-Haq also said that the team ‘shares their sorrows’. The families thanked them for visiting them. The players also prayed for the highest rewards of the martyred in the attack.

Despite a losing spree, the Pakistani cricket team has been setting some goodwill gestures in their ongoing trip to New Zealand.

 

Earlier, Yasir Shah was spotted on-screen tossing his cap to a fan during the first test match against New Zealand last week.

A short video of Shah gifting his cap to the fans in the crowd went viral on social media. The video also captured the priceless expressions of the fan out of excitement after surprisingly receiving the cap from Shah during the first test match between New Zealand and Pakistan.

A fan jumped in happiness and screamed with joy and pumped his fists as he instantly wore the cap. The video also garnered a colossal reaction from Pakistani cricket fans back home. Twitter users appreciated Shah for leaving a positive impression on his foreign fans and followers.

Not only in Pakistan, but the moments were beamed across the world during the live telecast of the match that also beefed up the soft image of Pakistan. Fans lauded Shah for truly playing his role of an ambassador of Pakistan.
