Pakistan military congratulates nation on 76th Independence Day

Armed Forces of Pakistan vowed to always defend the territorial integrity and peace of the motherland and continue to serve the nation as per the aspirations of people of Pakistan.

CJCsSC, Services Chiefs & Armed Forces of Pakistan extend their heartfelt congratulations to the Nation on 76th Independence Day of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

A statement released by the ISPR today stated this day reminds us of the vision, fortitude and countless sacrifices which our ancestors offered, to realise our elders and great Quaid’s dream of a free and independent country. Thousands of sons’ of soil have laid down their lives for defence of the motherland and to preserve the cherished dream of freedom of our forefathers.

“Let us all pledge that irrespective of the challenges we face today, we will preserve and strengthen the peace, societal harmony and unity among the Nation. We will not let inimical forces to succeed, which are hell bent to create fissures and division among the Armed Forces and people of Pakistan,” the statement said.

COAS felicitates nation

Earlier, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir while addressing, the Azadi, Parade at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul ardently said, “We gained freedom after a great struggle and we know how to defend it.”

The Army Chief in his address at the PMA, Kakul, Azadi, Parade held in connection with the 76th Independence Day felicitated the nation on its over seven decades of freedom and appreciated the smartly turned-out soldiers for expressing their professional skills on the occasion.

The country was passing through interesting times, a watershed era, fraught with challenges, geo-political wrangling, increasing power contestation, hegemonism and jingoism, the Army Chief remarked.

He stated, “We continue to withstand the evil designs of the inimical forces; forces of instability and chaos, which are eager in their failed attempts to undo Pakistan.”
