Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Jam Awais allegedly tortured a man to death in Malir’s Memon Goth area. Police lodged an FIR against Jam Awais. The incident left Pakistan in anger as people demand justice for the victim.

As per reports, a man named Nazim Jokhio, who was a father of four, tried to stop a group of foreigners for illegal hunting. He also made videos as evidence. However, he was caught and subjected to torture.

Prior to his death, Nazim made another video narrating the entire incident. He said he received threatening phone calls. Furthermore, Nazim also warned that in case of any harm to him, the person at whose house the “hunter guests” were staying would be responsible.

“I am not afraid but this video statement of mine should be kept on record. I am receiving threats and I will not seek an apology,” he said in the video.

Moreover, Nazim Jokhio’s brother revealed that the PPP leader ordered Jokhio to come to his farmhouse following the incident.

“They told me to leave my brother at the Jam House. When I reached the house after some time, they told me that my brother had died,” said the brother of the victim.

Jokhio’s brother also claimed that the perpetrators beat him with sticks. Medico-legal officer Dr. Areeb conducted the post-mortem of Jokhio and confirmed the torture.

“From head to toe, there was no part of his body without a mark of torture,” he said.

“No man can bear such torture that the victim had to go through. However, it is necessary to have chemical and pathology reports for confirmation of the death,” he further added.
