Rawalpindi couple held for selling obscene videos of girls to porn website

The police said that the accused couple, identified as Qasim Jahangir and Kiran Mehmood, have confessed to the sexual assault of 45 girls, taking their photographs and making videos of at least 10 victims.

Shocking as it may seem, Rawalpindi police have arrested a couple on charges of their alleged involvement in the kidnapping, sexually abusing, blackmailing, taking photos & filming obscene videos of 45 girls and selling the same to a porn website.

The police said that the accused couple, identified as Qasim Jahangir and Kiran Mehmood, has confessed to the sexual assault of 45 girls, taking their photographs and making videos of at least 10 victims. City Police Officer (CPO) Mohammad Faisal Rana said that the action was taken soon after a complaint was lodged on August 3 by an MSc student of Allama Iqbal Open University.

The police official said that the couple had sold the videos and photos to an international porn website.

The complainant informed the police that she was abducted from outside the Gordon College Rawalpindi by the couple. In her complaint, she said the woman pretended to be a fellow student, saying her ‘brother’ was coming to pick her.

A few minutes later, she said, a man arrived in a car and the woman suddenly pushed her inside the vehicle while threatened her with a knife to silence her. The student said that the couple took her to a house in Gulistan Colony where Qasim – the husband – allegedly raped her while Kiran – the wife – took photos and recorded video.

She said the couple threatened and blackmailed her and showed her sexually explicit video. Later at night, the couple dropped her on Tipu Road.

Accused sexually assaulted underage girls: police

Following the arrest, it emerged that Qasim confessed to have kidnapped several girls of ages between 8 and 12 with the help of his wife and subjected them to similar heinous crime. Reportedly, the police also recovered photographs and video clips from the accused house.

 Mohammad Faisal Rana said that the action was taken soon after a complaint was lodged on August 3 by an MSc student of Allama Iqbal Open University.

The police official said that the couple had sold the videos and photos to an international porn website. It was reported that the police have also recovered evidence from the crime scene and sent for forensic examination.

CPO Rana has directed the officials concerned to identify the accused in the videos and pictures, and lodge a separate case for each incident. He said the Qasim was in police custody on physical remand while Kiran was sent to jail on judicial custody remand.

Car showroom owner held for blackmailing, raping nurse

Separately, on August 9, the police arrested a man on charges of blackmailing and raping a nurse working at a government hospital for two years by threatening to post her private photos and videos on social media.

The police also recovered photographs and video clips from the accused house.

The accused, identified as Yasir Altaf, who owns a car showroom at Chandi Chowk, was also booked for allegedly extorting Rs35,000 on different occasions during the past two years from the victim. The FIR states that the accused, a resident of Ghauri Town in Islamabad, trapped the victim into having sex with him by promising to marry her a couple of years ago.

Ever since that incident, the media reported, the accused allegedly started blackmailing the young nurse by threatening to share her objectionable photos and videos not only on social media but also in the hospital she worked at.

Worried about her reputation, she succumbed to the pressure tactics and gave in to his demands for the next two years. The police said that the girl reached the breaking point when the accused allegedly raped her at gunpoint inside his car which was parked at the hospital’s car parking.

The incident led her to take police’s help as she had become tired of the sexual abuse and blackmailing. She filed a complaint against Altaf at the New Town police station on August 9.
