ICC CEO Geoff Allardice expressed his enthusiasm for the campaign's launch and anticipation for the forthcoming ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023, set to kick off in Ahmedabad on October 5.

Shah Rukh Khan appears in the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 campaign. In a powerful collaboration, the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) have launched the enthralling ‘It Takes One Day’ campaign ahead of the highly anticipated ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 in India.

The campaign, officially introduced in Mumbai, aims to create a global connection among cricket fans by delving into the essence of ‘Navarasa,’ representing the nine emotions that fans commonly experience during a cricket match. With just 77 days remaining until the first match of the World Cup, the ‘It Takes One Day’ campaign sets the stage for an exhilarating cricket extravaganza.

A star-studded film, featuring the iconic Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan alongside cricketing legends such as JP Duminy, Shubman Gill, Dinesh Karthik, Eoin Morgan, Muttiah Muralitharan, Jonty Rhodes, and Jemimah Rodrigues, was unveiled during the campaign launch.

The film, a masterful piece of storytelling, showcases memorable moments from the Men’s Cricket World Cup history, taking fans on an emotional journey that mirrors the raw sentiments experienced by both players and spectators during a One Day match.

The ‘It Takes One Day’ campaign ingeniously connects the nine ‘Navarasa’ emotions – anguish, bravery, glory, joy, passion, power, pride, respect, and wonder – encapsulating the rollercoaster of feelings that cricket enthusiasts immerse themselves in during the course of a thrilling match.
