The three-day 11th PFDC Fashion Week that began on 9th March ended in Lahore on 11th March 2018. The Pakistan Fashion Design Council announced show expansion, designer line-up and segmentation and corporate synergies.
The Pakistan Fashion Week Council opened the show with a brand new show, dedicated to the curation and projection of local craft within high-end in collaboration with PEL, introducing the PEL Craft/Design show with Gold by Raema Malik. For this craft show Sehyr Saigol, PFDC chairperson has herself curated four designers who showcased four ensembles, each turning the sub-continental craft into an updated design and globally relevant luxury retail price.
The PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week is directed by Sadia Siddiqui with Kamiar Rokni from the House of Rokni as the official spokesperson of PFDC.
The fashion week exhibited plenty of stunning outfits from popular and high-end designers during the show. The afternoon show on the last day opened with a High-Street Luxury Prêt collection.
The grand finale on the final day started in afternoon with a voile/lawn collection presented by various clothing brands including Khas, Rouge, Rang Rasiya, So Kamal, Fahad Husayn, Mona Imran, Zonia Anwaar, Republic by Omar Farooq and HSY.
Khas showcased its premium collection at the Lawn segment. It was all about lawn, chiffon and silk fabrics with modern contemporary cuts, embellishment of pearls and stone.
Rouge showcased its lawn collection titled ‘Fluer Du Spring’. The vibrant lawn collection offered the audiences dresses with geometrical patterns with a fusion of beautiful and intricate embroideries.
Rang Rasiya presented its lawn collection titled ‘Saccharine’ inspired by a dreamy spring with the fusion of peaches, vanilla yellow, rose quartz with embroidery and embellishment.
HSY in his collection paid tribute to important female figures not only in his life but around the world too. Award-winning super-model Mehreen Syed and HSY mother walked as the showstopper for his collection.
