Last week former Pakistani actor Aisha Khan tied the knot with her fiancé Major Uqbah Malik after bidding farewell to the entertainment industry a month ago. Despite being a private event, pictures from the festivities have hit the internet. Besides her friends Hamza Ali Abbasi and Gauhar Rasheed from the entertainment industry, none of the celebrities were invited to the wedding it seems.
The marriage kicked off with a Mayun and a Mehndi ceremony, followed by a Nikkah at Faisal Masjid and a wedding reception.
Internet users thoroughly enjoyed the video that appeared on social media in which the couple was seen dancing to ‘Despacito’ on their Mehndi ceremony. The other video from the wedding showed Major Uqbah Malik donning his Military uniform at his wedding reception.
They make an ideal couple, and their fans as well as colleagues have congratulated them. Co-star Humayun Saeed congratulated the former actress on Twitter on her wedding.
Aisha chose a traditional an all-yellow ensemble for her Mayoon, and opted for a maroon and off-white mehndi outfit. For her nikah ceremony, the star opted for a stunning gold, off-white and green hybrid gharara. Aisha Khan maintained her elegance throughout the wedding events that was well complemented by her husband’s Major Uqbah’s gentle personality.
A week-long wedding came to an end last night as the couple hosted their Valima reception in Islamabad on 15th April 2018.

In March, Aisha Khan had announced her departures from the entertainment industry and later broke the news of her engagement with Major Uqbah Malik.

She wrote, “My fiancé and I are overwhelmed with all the love and prayers that have poured in. I had made my announcement to leave my media career as I now prefer to stay away from the limelight.” She added, “We got engaged last year and have known each other for several years before. We request privacy from here on and expect everybody to respect our decision of keeping our wedding a small family affair. Please remember us and our families in your prayers!”
