News Desk |

Ali Zafar in collaboration with the Pakistan Cricket Board has released the anthem for the third season of the Pakistan Super League. The anthem is titled ‘Dil se Jaan Laga Dey’.

The video of the song features cricketing stars like Umar Gul, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik and Rameez Raja as well as the emerging names like Rumaan Raees, Fakhar Zaman, Junaid Khan, Babar Azam, Umar Amin, Ahmed Shehzad and others.

The cricket players are seen gearing up for the match in the video.

Ali Zafar has successfully produced anthems for all the three instalments of the Pakistan Super League. His debut anthem ‘Ab Khel Jamay Ga’ had 6 million views on YouTube.

The third anthem was released on 28th January on YouTube. The video has generated sixteen thousand views so far.

Unfortunately, fans in Pakistan will miss watching the cricketers perform on their home ground, but PCB has promised to organize the final matches of the season in Lahore and Karachi.

Earlier Ali Zafar released a teaser of the song in a short video clip on his Instagram account.

He also expressed his feelings for producing the anthem for the third time for the country’s biggest and highly anticipated cricketing event.

“I cannot explain how humbling it was to hear it play from every car, home and in every street when the final came home to Pakistan. In fact, when I was writing it, I wrote the entire chorus based on the vision, hope, and dream of cricket returning to Pakistan and we are very fortunate that it did! This year’s anthem takes that thought further and it is based on a celebration; that last year’s dream was fulfilled, that the PSL embraces the very essence of cricket and pride; that Pakistan and Pakistanis will take the Super League to the next level again this year,” said Zafar.
