Amid the fiasco of leaked audiotapes, PMLN leader Maryam Nawaz asked netizens to caption her picture. On Thursday, Maryam Nawaz posted the picture of her with her two close party associates, Uzma Bukhari and Mariam Aurangzeb from her press conference.
Maryam Nawaz had conducted the press conference following the leak of her recent audiotape in which she was in conversation with the party’s senior leader, Pervez Rasheed. The PMLN leaders were heard abusing senior journalists for criticizing them. In her press conference, she accepted those audiotapes but had refused to apologize. She argued that it was illegal to record her conversations. Instead, she said people should apologize to her for recording her conversations.
She said she is not answerable to anyone for her private conversations. Maryam Nawaz demanding an apology during Thursday’s press conference for her audio leak did not sit well with Twitteratis and PTI officials. To clarify, Maryam Nawaz is notorious for leaking compromising videos or audio clips. For example, the Arshad Malik video scandal.

Regarding this, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Dr. Shahbaz Gill reminded her of how she admitted on live television that she also has audio clips and videotapes of others.

Shehbaz Gill shared a video collage of Maryam Nawaz’s Thursday press conference where she demands an apology, and consequently an old clip from a tv program where she admitted that she has recordings of other people.
Maryam Nawaz had received flak on social media after she was once again heard talking about controlling media. Also, netizens were disillusioned by how she targeted and abused some journalists.
