Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli blessed with a baby girl

The celebrity couple has not released the image of the baby girl yet. Wishes and felicitations for the couple started pouring in for the couple on social media.

Indian cricketer, Virat Kohli, and actress Anushka Sharma have been blessed with a baby girl on Monday, 11th August.

The cricketer shared the news with millions of fans and followers on social media. “We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers, and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives,” his statement read.

He also asked the media to respect the privacy on this occasion. “We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time,” he added. “Love, Virat.”

The celebrity couple has not released the image of the baby girl yet. Wishes and felicitations for the couple started pouring in for the couple on social media.

Back in August, the couple had announced they are expecting their first child. The couple had posted their picture together on their respective social media accounts.

A baby bump of Anushka Sharma was visible in the image. Anushka Sharma was seen dressed in a black dress while Virat Kohli was standing behind her in a white shirt in the image posted on Twitter. The couple says their first baby will be arriving in January 2021.

  “And then, we were three! Arriving in Jan 2021!” wrote Anushka Sharma on Twitter. Felicitations started pouring in for the couple as soon as they made the announcement.

This is the first baby of Anuskha Sharma and Virat Kohli since their marriage in 2017.

The couple in multiple interviews had expressed their excitement on entering parenthood.

Earlier in an interview, Virat Kohli shared thoughts on parenthood with Anushka Sharma, while speaking with a publication.

Kohli had said that “Everything in life is transient. It will end one day. I have a life. I have a family. I will have kids. They deserve all my time. That is something that is very, very clear, and close to my heart. I want no part of my career being flashed into my house. I want no part of my trophies, my achievements, nothing in my house when our kids are growing up.”
