While hearing the former prime minister’s plea against his arrest in the Al-Qadir Trust case, the SC bench termed Imran Khan’s arrest by Rangers from inside the courtroom “illegal” and ordered his immediate release.
The CJP has remarked that NAB had violated court sanctity while arresting PTI chief Imran Khan. Later the SC ordered authorities concerned to present former prime minister Imran Khan before it within an hour.
Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto said that he is not in favor of banning any political party and he will be the last person to agree to such a decision.
While denying involvement in the incidents of violence fueled by the arrest of Imran Khan, PTI said the statement by ISPR lacked the realization of the situation on the ground.
IG Punjab said that international visas and jobs are issued on the basis of police character certificates and verification. However, he warned the youth that a record is being made against all the miscreants.
Director General of Radio Pakistan has confirmed that the building of the state media in Peshawar was attacked. Vehicles parked in the building of Radio Pakistan were also set on fire.
Punjab and KP governments have requested the deployment of the army. Reports claim that Army will also be deployed in Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and other districts.
